If you're not familiar with Der Struwwelpeter, you simply must go and readThe Story of Little Suck-a-Thumb. It's really a remarkable story, and it features, in the Great Tall Tailor, one of the more unlikely yet most disturbing fairy tale monsters ever. Then read the other stories. You won't be sorry.
