Questions and Answers

Q. Why Blue Armadillo?
A. I like armadillos.  I like the color blue.  I thought "Blue Armadillo" had a nice ring to it.

Q. Who are you?
A. I'm John.  I'm a 34 year old guy living in Virginia.

Q. When is this site updated?
A. Who knows?

Q. Didn't this site used to look different?
A. Yes. In October 2002 I changed both the design of the site and the format of the journal. Whereas I used to write one longish essay every day, I now post shorter entries on an erratic schedule. Some days I'll have five or more entries; others, none. I didn't have time to do it the old way any more.

Q. Can you help me get on Trading Spaces?
A. No. The person I know who worked for the show no longer does, and even if she did, I couldn't do anything. The application to be on the show can be found here.

Q. How can I make that neat clock Vern did in that one epsiode of Trading Spaces?
A. The hands for the clock can be purchased from Chiasso. I don't know where he got the sconces. Ikea maybe?

Q. What's this Cathedral Choral Society thing you keep writing about?
A. The Cathedral Choral Society is a 200-voice symphonic chorus of which I am a member. We perform four "solo" concerts each season at Washington National Cathedral, and from time to time we're invited to perform with other groups, such as the National Symphony Orchestra, at other venues. The CCS takes up an enormous amount of my free time, so I write about it a lot.

Q. This didn't answer my questions.
A. I'm not surprised.  Try "Questions Answered," see if that helps any.

Q. It didn't.
A. Jeez, what is this, a full field investigation? If you have other questions, ask me directly.
